A mobile court here last night convicted one person and sentenced to one year jail on charge of taking ganja at UNO office in Barguna sadar upazila.
The convicted was identified as Tarekuzzaman, 28, younger brother of Chota Bogi union parishad chairman Moniruzzaman of the district.Police said a team of elite force conducted a drive and arrested him while he was taking ganja in amtali-Purakata fari ghat area around 9 pm.Police handed down him to the court, later, the mobile court led by sadar upazila nirbahi nofficer Golam Mohammad Bhuiyan pronounced the verdict. -BSS, Barguna
