Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Saturday night arrested a man along with four live bombs and some bomb-making materials at Barni village in Abhaynagar upazila.
The arrestee was identified as Akthar, 30, son of Golam Rasul of the village.Tipped-off, a team of Rab led by Maj Ahsan Habib Rajib, deputy director of Rab-6, conducted a drive in a bazar of the village and recovered the bombs and bomb-making materials from the rear of a grocery shop around 10pm.
Meanwhile, sensing the presence of the Rab members, the cohorts of Akthar fled the scene.Akthar was handed over to police. -UNB, Benapole (Jessore)
