Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested an alleged arms trader along one pistol, three shooter guns, five rounds of bullet and two magazines from Kagojpur village in Benapole town on Tuesday.The arrestee was identified as Ziaur Rahman, 35, son of Safiur Rahman of Shyamolgachhi village of Sharsha upazila.Deputy director of Rab-6, Jessore camp Major Zahidul Karim said acting on a tip-off, a team of them conducted a drive in the area in the evening and arrested Ziaur posing to make a deal of arms and Phensidyl.Later, the Rab team recovered one pistol, three shooter guns, five rounds of bullet, two magazines and 1,000 bottles of Phensidyl from his possession.A case was filed in this connection. – UNB, Benapole‘
