A mobile court here on Thursday sentenced a man to one year imprisonment for selling hemp in Sharsha upazila.
The convict was identified as Shahidul Gazi, 35, son of late Rajob Gazi of Narayanpur village of the upazila.Sources said a mobile court led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer ATM Shariful Alam detained Shahidul along with one kg hemp from the upazila headquarters in the afternoon. Later, the court gave him one year imprisonment and handed over him to Benapole Port Police Station. –UNB, Benapole
