A man was chopped to death and five others were injured in a bloody
clash at Sajalpur- Jamtala village under Sadar upazila in the district
last night. The clash ensued over previous enmity to establish
supremacy in the area between two rival groups.
The dead was Uzzal Khan, 45, son of Delu Khan of the village. The
injured were Uzzal Khan, 45, Delu Khan, 80, Mosharraf Khan, 50,
Kismot Hossain Bappi, 28, and Zahid Hossain, 28.
ey were taken to Jessore 250-bed hospital where Uzzal succumbed to his injuries.
A case was filed with concerned police station.
