A man was killed and ten others were injured when a bus fell sideways into a canal from Fatki Bridge on the Dhaka-Bogra Highway in Shahjahanpur upzila early Wednesday.
The identity of the deceased could not be immediately ascertained while the injured were confirmed to hail from the district. Police, quoting witnesses, said the accident took place at Abir Classic point of the Dhaka-Bogra Highway around 2:30am, when a Rangpur-bound bus slipped sideways and fell off
the Fatki Bridge breaking its railing into a canal below, leaving the man dead on the spot and 10 others injured.The injured were admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.One of the injured passengers, Momena said the bus met the accident while trying to overtake another vehicle. –UNB, Bogra
