One person was killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup van on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Kaichutti area of Chauddagram upazila on Friday.The deceased identified as Manik, 30, driver of the pickup van, hails from Bhola district.Police, quoting locals, said a Dhaka-bound truck collided head-on with a Chittagong-bound pickup van coming from Dhaka in the morning, leaving the van’s driver dead on the spot.Police seized both the vehicles.The driver of the killer truck managed to flee.The body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy. – UNB, Comilla
