The BNP led-18-party on Wednesday extended its blockade by 12 hours
till 6 pm Thursday. BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi
announced the programme extension at a press briefing at BNP’s
Nayapaltan office. He also said gayebana janaza will be held across
the country on Friday for those killed by ‘police and ruling party
men’ during the blockade programme. Earlier, on Monday night, soon
after the announcement of polls schedule by Election Commission, the
alliance called the 48-hour blockade programme from Tuesday 6 am. –
