A delegation of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), led by its Vice-chancellor Prof Al-Nakib Chowdhury, met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday.
During the meet, the PUST delegation apprised the President of various activities of the university. They informed the President that there are five faculties, 13 departments and one institute in the university.
Currently, around 3,000 students are studying in the university of which 20 per cent are females, the delegation members told the President.
President Abdul Hamid underscored the need for ensuring quality education in the university so that its students can compete in the international arena. Secretaries concerned to the President office were present. – UNB
