Padma Oil Managing Director on dock

The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed three cases against Padma Oil’s Managing Director Abul Khayer and 92 others for corruption in appointment.
ACC Deputy Director Mohammad Morshed Alam filed the cases with Sadarghat police on Wednesday.“The cases were filed over job finalised by references without any notice of appointment,” he said.
Abul Khayer and Assistant General Manager Mohammad Rafiqul Hassan were implicated in all the three cases. General Manager finance Helal Ahmed Chowdhury was implicated in one.
Sadarghat Police Station Sub Inspector Mohammad Ferdous told journalists that the cases were filed under separate clauses against appointing authority and those appointed.67 were implicated in one of the cases, 19 in another and remaining seven in the third case, he said.                                         – bdnews24.com
