Parliament budget session begins June 1

Minister for Finance AMA Muhith will place the national budget for 2016-17 on June 2.
This will be the third budget session of the 10th parliament. The session will began at 5:00pm on June 1.
President Abdul Hamid yesterday convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per the Article 72(1) of the constitution. The 11th (budget) session will be a lengthy as usual but the tenure of the session will be determined at the Business Advisory Committee meeting before the beginning of the session, according to Parliament Secretariat officials.
The Finance Ministry has started its preparatory works to present the Tk 3.4 trillion national budget at the session properly.
At least 13 steps including ensuring secrecy of budget documents and speech, sending those to Parliament, copy distribution, holding post-budget press conference and issuance for entry passes for elites including the diplomats have been taken up.
The last session of Parliament was dissolved on May 5. – Staff Reporter
