Dhaka – Bangladesh’s promising golfer Shakhawat Hossain Sohel slipped down to joint 23rd position from joint 7th spot in the PGM MIDF Championship after the 3rd round at the Kota Seriemas Golf and Country Club course in Malaysia on Friday.Sohel aggregated one-over-par 217 [72-68-77] and stayed 13 shots far away from the Thai leader, Itthipat Buranatanyarat, who took a two-shot lead after 3rd round in the approximate US$58,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event.
Itthipat remained on course in the flagship signing for a one-under-par 71 at the penultimate round.
Sohel, who claimed the PGM Miri Championship title for his maiden ADT in early September in Malaysia, started the day with a brilliant total of four-under 140, but traded five shots more than pars in the third round to share his spot with two other golfers.UNB
