A pharmacy owner was shot dead by unidentified miscreants at Sabalia of the district town on Wednesday night.The deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain, 32, a resident of the area.Officer-in-charge (OC) of Tangail Sadar Model Police Station Nazrul Islam said Kabir ran a pharmacy near the district hospital where he also used to recharge mobile phones.On Wednesday at about 9:45 pm, he had a quarrel with a man over mobile phone recharging at his shop.After some time, 4 to 5 youths on two motorcycles entered Kabir’s shop, gunned him down and also hacked him. His attackers left the spot quickly, leaving Kabir critically injured, the OC added.Injured Kabir was rushed to the district sadar hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.A case has been filed in this connection. -UNB, Tangail
