Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives recovered 862 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup and 180 ampoules of Indian sedative drugs from Gopalpur and Yusufpur Padmarchar areas under Charghat thana of the district on Saturday.Additional director Kamrul Hasan, acting commanding officer of BGB Battalion-37, said a patrol team of BGB conducted an anti-smuggling drive in Gopalpur Padmarchar area and recovered 390 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup in an abandoned condition in the afternoon Meanwhile, a team of the border force in another drive recovered 472 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup and 180 ampoules of Indian sedative injection from Yusufpur Padmarchar area at the same time.However, the border force could not arrest anyone as the smugglers managed to flee the scene sensing their presence. -UNB, Rajshahi
