PM hosts iftar for family members, relatives

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday hosted an iftar mahfil for her family members and relatives at her official residence Ganobhaban.

The Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their wellbeing.

Prime Minister’s younger sister Sheikh Rehana was also present on the occasion.

Before the iftar, a munajat was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.

Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 massacre and the War of Liberation, and the heroes of all democratic movements.

Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman conducted the munajat.

Besides family members and relatives of the Prime Minister, Awami League leaders, including Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim and Obaidul Quader, professors and teachers of different universities, senior lawyers, cultural personalities, writers, poets, literati, singers, actors and officials of the Prime Minister’s Office attended the iftar.
