Dhaka, Mar 27: Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of eminent singer and vocalist of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Namita Ghosh.She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Namita Ghosh breathed her last on Friday evening at a city hospital at the age of 63.
She left behind three brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and well-wishers.
Meanwhile, AL general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Namita Ghosh, reports UNB.
