Police recovered hanging body of a polytechnic student from Choila village in Manikganj Sadar upazila on Sunday.The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 18, student of Manikganj Private Polytechnic School and College and son of Abdul Barek of the village.
Police said Delwar had attended a marriage ceremony at the house of one Sakimuddin at the village on Saturday evening.
When he made some obscene remarks to a girl at the function, the house members attempted to beat him but he made an escape somehow.
Later the house members informed the matter to Delwar’s family and local union parishad member.
Delwar did not return home that night. Local people spotted his body hanging form a tree next morning and informed his family members and police.
Police recovered the body at about 12.00pm and sent it to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The victim’s family alleged that Delawar had been killed and the body hung with the tree.
An unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
