Premier Bank Annual Business Conference-2021 held

The Annual Business Conference-2021 of The Premier Bank Limited with the theme “Together We Grow” was held today at R Events, Renaissance Hotel Gulshan Dhaka. Freedom Fighter Dr. H.B.M. Iqbal, Honorable Chairman, Board of Directors of The Premier Bank Limited graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Member of the Board of Directors Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP was present there as a special guest. Advisor Muhammed Ali, Managing Director & CEO M. Reazul Karim, FCMA, among others also attended the conference.
In the inaugural speech, Freedom Fighter Dr. H.B.M. Iqbal, Honorable Chairman, Board of Directors of The Premier Bank Limited stated that Bangladesh, along with the entire world is going through the turmoil caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. He expressed his most sincere gratitude towards Honorable Directors, Management, Divisional Heads, 120 Branch Managers and officials of the bank for ensuring the overall development and growth of the bank despite the hit taken from Covid-19 at the end of the fiscal year of 2020.
The Advisor to the bank Mr Muhammad Ali stated Bangladesh is recovering from the consequences of the pandemic and is moving forward swiftly. The rural economy remains strong. Foreign income is increasingly rapidly. Income from trade export is also increasing. He further stated that everyone needs to adopt a strong determination and a sense of ownership for the bank and work towards implementing the development plans we have in order survive the fight against the financial challenges brought about by Covid-19.
The Managing Director and CEO, M. Reazul Karim, FCMA stated that there is a glimmer of economic prosperity early in the new year. He stated that if we could use the lessons learned from facing the adverse situations of 2020 on 2021, Bangladesh would become a shining example in the global community. He further stated recovering and rehabilitating the economy from the damage caused by Covid-19 would be the new year’s challenge for the banking sector. With a view to provide modern banking service according to Islamic Shariah we have launched 20 Islami banking window. Additionally he stated that using the latest in financial technologies “Fintech”, possible new sectors as well as people outside the benefits of financial services should be brought inside the scope of banking services to fight the challenges posed by the Covid-19 outbreak.
