Dhaka – The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) awarded full two points to Dhaka Mohammedan SC for their Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2018-19 match against Brothers Union held at BKSP Ground in Savar on April 2.
The technical committee of the CCDM at a meeting on Saturday (April 6) upheld the decision of the match referee to award full (02) points to Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.
The decision to award the full match points to Mohammedan was taken following Brothers Union’s refusal to play after resumption of the match following a rain interruption as per clause 16.2.1.2 of the match playing condition of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2018-19.
Clause 16.2.1.2 states that a match shall be deemed lost by a side ‘which in the opinion of the BCB match referee refuses to play and the BCB match referee shall award the match to the other side.
An official reprimand has also been issued against Brothers Union as per the provisions in the match playing condition, said a BCB media release on Sunday.
