Dhaka – Ajax Sporting Club and Victoria Sporting Club won their respective matches in the Green Delta Insurance Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium here on Saturday.Ajax SC outplayed Azad Sporting Club by 8-2 goals.Rahat Sarwar and Lakhinder Singh struck two goals each while Gurprit Singh, Hridoy Anas, Shihab Hossain and Nazmul Hasan scored one each for the winners while Debashis Roy and Asgar Ali scored one each for the losers.
In the day’s other match, Victoria Sporting Club beat Bangladesh Police Club by 4-0 goals at the same venue.Jograj Singh scored two, Pushpinder Singh and Sheikh Shahibaz contributed one each for the Victoria SC.
On Sunday, holders Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club will play Dhaka Wanderers Club at 2:30 pm while Wari Club will encounter Ajax SC at 4:30 pm at the same venue.UNB
