Dhaka – League leader Dhaka Mohammedan SC will play Ajax SC in the opening super-5 match of the Green Delta Insurance Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium at 2pm on Friday.Metropolis Club Cup champions Dhaka Abahani Limited will face Sonali Bank Club in the other opening day’s fixture at 4 pm at the same venue.
On Saturday, defending champions Dhaka Mariner Young’s Club will play Sonali Bank Club at 2 pm while Dhaka Abahani Limited will encounter Ajax SC at 4 pm in the other match at the same venue.
Earlier, top five teams of the 12-team league qualified for the title-deciding super league.
Dhaka Mohammedan SC are the only team to reach the super-5 stage with all-win record securing full 33 points from straight eleven matches.
After the first phase matches, holders Dhaka Mariner Young’s Club finished 2nd collecting 30 points, followed by Dhaka Abahani Limited with 27 points, Sonali Bank Club with 24 points and Ajax SC with 19 points.
