Dhaka, Feb 24: President Abdul Hamid on Wednesday expressed deep shock at the death of former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank and prominent banker Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled. In a condolence message, the President said that the people of Bangladesh will always remember the contributions of Khandaker Ibrahim Khaled in the development of the banking sector.
The President prayed for the departed soul of Khaled and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family.
Khaled died at a hospital in the city early Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment for post-Covid complications. He was 80.
