Prime Bank beat UCB-BCB XI by 7 wickets

Dhaka – Prime Bank Cricket Club tasted their first victory in the Amber Group Victory Day T20 Cup Cricket Tournament beating UCB-BCB Eleven by 7 wickets at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium on Monday.Sent into bat first, UCB-BCB Eleven scored 123 runs for 8 in allocated 20 overs with Marshal Ayub scoring 40 runs off 30 balls with three fours and two sixes.
One down Rony Talukdar made 34 runs off 28 balls with three fours and a six while Naeem Islam contributed not out 32 runs off 38 balls with a boundary.
Shahadat Hossain claimed three wickets for 20 runs, Taijul Islam captured two wickets giving away 30 runs while Rubel Hossain took one wicket conceding 29 runs.
In reply, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan’s Prime Bank Cricket Club reached their target scoring 124 for the loss of three wickets in 17.2 overs.
One down Sabbir Rumman scored not out 50 runs off 41 balls with eight fours and a six and was adjudged man of the match.
All rounder and skipper Shakib Al Hasan scored 33 runs off 25 balls with two fours and two sixes. Opener Anamul Haque scored 24 runs off 23 balls with two fours and a six.
Delwar Hossain captured two wickets for 27 runs in three overs. – UNB
