Prime Bank Cup Golf Tournament ends

Dhaka – The Prime Bank Cup Golf Tournament concluded at the Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC) here on Friday.

Commandant of National Defence College Lieutenant General Sheikh Mamun Khaled was present as the chief guest in the inaugural and also the closing ceremony of the meet.

Vice President of KGC Major General Md Enayet Ullah, Club Captain of KGC Brigadier General Md Tajul lslam Thakur, Chairman of Tournament Committee Brigadier General (Retd) Abidur Reza Khan, Chief Executive Officer of KGC Brigadier General (Retd) GSM Hamidur Rahman and Managing Director and CEO of Prime Bank Ltd Rahel Ahmed were also present on the occasion.

The three-day meet started on Wednesday at the same venue where a total of 507 golfers took part, said General Manager (Golf Operations) of KGC Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Md Abdul Bari.

After being asked about their arrangements for celebrating ‘Mujib Borsho’, Bari replied, “We have already held Mujib Borsho Cup Amateur Golf Tournament this month. We will arrange an international golf tournament in March to mark the 100th birth centenary of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”

Hopefully professional golfers from 25 to 30 countries will participate in the meet, he added.UNB
