Prof Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher, chairman of Board of Directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL), has been re-elected as chairman of Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF) for the current year.
Besides, EXIM Bank chairman Md Nazrul Islam Mazumder and Al-Arafah Islami Bank chairman Badiur Rahman have been re-elected respectively as IBCF vice chairmen in the election held on Tuesday at the meeting room of BAB’s Office in Jabbar Tower in the capital’s Gulshan.Prof Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher who was born in a devoted Muslim family at Companygon in Noakhali in 1948 achieved his Master’s degree in English literature from the University of Rajshahi.
He is the managing director of Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry Ltd and chairman of Industrialists and Businessmen Welfare Foundation & Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks.
Vice Chairman Md Nazrul Islam Mazumder who was born in a devout Muslim family at Laksam in Comilla achieved his Master Degree in English literature from Chittagong University. He is the Chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks and the Board of Directors of EXIM Bank Ltd.
Badiur Rahman is a sponsor director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd and Chairman of AIBL Capital Market Services Ltd. – UNB
