The World Bank (WB) will propose to Bangladesh within 7-10 days regarding financial and technical assistance for construction of garment industrial park.After a meeting with World Bank delegation, Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) SM Mannan Kachi made the disclosure while talking to journalists on Sunday.
In the meeting, Martin Norman led the 3-member WB delegation while Mannan Kachi led the BGMEA team.
The WB team said compliance should be maintained although factories are shifted to industrial park.
Mannan Kachi said, “The government allotted 530 acres of land where it is possible to make 577 plots and we urge the government to ensure gas and power facilities there.” (banglanews2.com)
