Protect Bangladesh

“Foreign office denies documents leak” is one of 16 January 2014 front page headlines of one of the popular English dailies of Bangladesh. The leaked documents claim to have revealed matters pertaining to for example possible deployment of ‘… troops’ in Satkhira of Bangladesh and modus operandi for the said deployment. The daily reported – “for almost a month now, joint forces comprising the Bangladesh military, RAB and police have been carrying out a combing operation in Satkhira, a stronghold of Jamaat-e-Islami activists involved in terrorist activity according to the government.”An initial and brief analysis of above developments against the backdrop of present day Bangladesh at local, global and other levels would reveal several things. A few of them have been presented here not in the order of priority and importance but they are relative to time, space and other variables.
01. Ministry of foreign affairs (MOFA) of Bangladesh has reportedly denied authenticity of the documents allegedly leaked from its system and posted online. The ministry reportedly termed the documents as photoshopped. It is fine. In such an event – what is the motive behind above act and who are sponsors, contributors and beneficiaries? One of the concerns here is: causes, effects and causalities of photoshopped documents of above nature could not only be instrumental to inter alia further destabilisation of Bangladesh but trigger further anti-neighbour feelings – all, under present day instabilities in the country. How about intelligence agencies, armed forces and concerned others of Bangladesh when it comes to their respective roles in tackling all those who are attempting to play dirty games with Bangladesh with the help of things such as photoshopped documents? How about roles of political parties of Bangladesh and neighbours, and the media (print, electronic, others) in that respect? How powerful antidotes of neighbours are when it comes to dealing with developments such as photoshopped documents apparently designed to paint neighbours as a kind of unfriendly or otherwise, as appropriate?
02. Photoshopped documents have come to domains of public knowledge – via social and other media including print media – in the midst of certain contemporary developments, such as and as appropriate: combing operations by security forces of Bangladesh have been continuing in Satkhira; attitudes of The Times of India towards Bangladesh in recent times – for example one of the articles published by the daily on 01 November 2013 had asked New Delhi to militarily intervene in Bangladesh to keep the incumbents in power so that the BNP and its fundamentalist allies do not assume power; the statement of Indian High Commission in Bangladesh – confirming or reconfirming, as proper, India’s official stance on Bangladesh prior to recently concluded elections in Bangladesh; the timings of communications, as well as other events; and revelation of state and personal secrets against the backdrop of continuing internet insecurity – tend to indicate photoshopped documents were either formulated in a clever and systematic manner to blackmail Bangladesh and India in pertinent areas or to serve other purposes as appropriate. By the way – is there any elements of truth in photoshopped documents?
03. Photoshopped documents identified inter alia involvements of a number of important government officials, as well as government offices, and concerned establishments – whether directly or otherwise. Given that credibility and image of all concerned including the countries concerned are involved in above matters – the matter should be thoroughly investigated by Bangladesh and India in their own interest to remove any confusion – that might arise out of photoshopped documents and in the course of dissecting photoshopped documents, to mention a few – among people of both countries in particular, and people of rest of the world at large in general.
In short, Bangladesh and neighbours should now step up efforts towards for example – stopping future recurrence of developments associated with for example photoshopped documents; ensuring the right and affordable justice for all concerned, as applicable; and damage control measures in relevant areas. protect Bangladesh via say loyalty and meaningful unity.
In general, it could be said inter alia: the present day form of state sovereignty has been transforming itself into a kind of dilated form of sovereignty – I would call that dilated sovereignty. As a result, the state sovereignty is, in a sense, being progressively replaced by molecular and other types of sovereignty in a variety of areas and ways at a variety of societal and other levels such as communities and local governments. World countries including India and Bangladesh should accelerate assisting peoples and societies in their effort towards becoming meaningfully active contributors to say bottom-up levels of governance for obtaining inter alia maximum benefits from progressive molecular sovereignty.
Molecular, atomic and sub-atomic sovereignties at for example and as appropriate life, living, continuity and growth levels of humans and others concerned are among present day destinations of Gene mechanics. The good news is: under fully blown regimes of Gene mechanics, present day challenges such as those associated with photoshopped documents or otherwise would not probably exist or have zero effects on peoples and countries of the world, to mention a few. The bad news is: we will be required to deal with above challenges to maximum satisfaction of all concerned, until such time though, above regimes come into effect and start delivering. Let us work towards advancement of Gene mechanics via for example ‘quality’ DNA transfers and get prepared for meeting existential and evolving uncertainties at individual, collective and other levels to maximum satisfaction of all concerned. God bless. (The author is inter alia Proponent of Gene mechanics)
