Questions of 2 papers of Pry exams leaked partially: Nahid

Question papers of two subjects- Bangla and English- were leaked partially in this year’s primary terminal examinations in four districts, said a committee investigating the leakage.   Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Wednesday disclosed this at a press briefing at his secretariat office. Nahid, however, said the examinations of the two subjects would not be cancelled as partial question papers leakage will not affect the examinees of Primary School Examinations (PSC).   He said according to the investigation report submitted by the enquiry committee formed to investigate into the PSC question papers leakage about 50 percent questions of Bangla examination and 80 percent of English test matched with the leaked questions papers in the four districts-Dhaka, Khulna, Satkhira and Dinajpur.   Replying to a query, Nahid said they suspected that some officials of Bangladesh Government (BG) Press and National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE) were involved in the incident.   Claiming that leak question papers were circulated firstly from some coaching centres, he said they will take legal action against those responsible for the offence.   The minister, however, declined to reveal the names of suspects for the sake of investigation.   – UNB
