Quota Reform movement case report date deferred

Dhaka, Nov 4 – A Dhaka court on Sunday deferred the date to December 6 for submission of the investigation report in the four cases filed in connection with an attack on the residence of the Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University. Earlier, the day was fixed for submission of the investigation reports to the court on Sunday. The investigation officer could not submit any report on Sunday. For that, Metropolitan Magistrate Sharafuzzaman Ansari passed the order fixing the new date.
It may be recalled that on April 8, at about 1’O’ clock about 2,000 people entered the residence of the Vice Chancellor and they broke open the main gate of the residence. Besides, the unruly people entered residence breaking open other installation of the building.
The demonstrators were carrying rod, hockey-stick, stick and bamboo. They used these local things to carry on their mission. Moreover, they set on fire several motorcycles in the residence of the VC.
Later, on April 10, Chief Security Officer of the University lodged a case. Police Special Branch (SB) members and Shahbagh Police Station filed another three cases. But no name was mentioned in any of the cases. – Special Correspondent
