Railway station master killed in accident

An assistant station master of Bangladesh Railway was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a human hauler at Nawda on the Hili-Joypurhat road in Panchbibi upazila on Tuesday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Abu Sufian, 41, assistant station master of Birampur railway station in Dinajpur district.

Officer-in-charge of Panchbibi Police Station Ashraful Islam said Abu Sufian was going to Panchbibi riding a motorcycle from Birampur in the afternoon.

When Sufian reached Nawda, a human hauler, coming from the opposite direction, hit his motorbike around 4:30pm, leaving him injured.

Later, he was whisked off to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 5:30pm, the OC added.
