RAKUB to computerise its all 376 branches in current fiscal

Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) is going to make its all 376 branches computerised during the current 2013-14 fiscal through the best uses of Information and Computer Technology (ICT) aimed at bringing more dynamism in service delivery activities.
The RAKUB has adopted the online banking plan in order to reach the banking services towards the clients’ doorsteps in country’s northwest region along with bolstering its foundation in the era of globalisation. The bank authority revealed this while addressing the inaugural session of a five-day training course styled “Infinity Banking Solution” for 20 computer in-charge officers of the bank held at its Headquarters in Rajshahi city Sunday.
Infinity Technology International Bangladesh (ITIB) and Computer Division of the bank jointly organised the training course. Addressing as chief guest Mufazzal Hossain, Managing Director of RAKUB, said there is no alternative to computerisation as well as networking in the current competitive banking sector and asked all concerned to make the process a total success.Besides, he urged upon the officers concerned to bring all the computerisation together with online banking activities under close monitoring.Besides, he said the client services should be developed through promoting RAKUB online banking like electronic banking programme keeping in mind the customers’ demands.To this end, he called for devising ways and means on how to make all the banking services expedited and updated to supplement the government endeavour to build Digital Bangladesh.Deputy Managing Director Abu Hanif Khan and General Manager (Administration) Ekramul Haque also spoke with Deputy General Manager (Computer division) Khandaker Golam Mostofa in the chair. -BSS, Rajshahi
