Rangpur interns go on work abstention

Rangpur – Interns at Rangpur Medical College Hospital went on an indefinite work abstention on Friday to press home their five-point demand, including the arrest of those attacked one of their fellows.RMCH Intern Association president Dr Mahmudur Rahman Rifat told
reporters that they will continue their work abstention until their demands are met.

The demands also include ensuring security of interns and constructing a permanent police camp at the hospital.Earlier on Thursday night, intern Sumon Miah came under attack by some miscreants on his way to the hospital.The attackers beat him severely and robbed him of belongings, including money and a mobile phone set.Sumon was undergoing treatment at the hospital.agences
