RCC keen to build housing project for FFs in Rajshahi

Mayor Mosaddeque Hossain Bulbul has said the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) is interested to build housing project for the Freedom Fighters for their permanent address in the city.

He also declared that the existing problems relating to their holding taxes and water bills would be solved as early as possible.

Mayor Bulbul stated this while addressing a function of according reception to the gallantry-awarded Freedom Fighters and other Freedom Fighters of the city corporation held at the Green Plaza of the city bhaban on Tuesday afternoon as the chief guest.

He mentioned that the city corporation is very much positive towards the best sons of the soil alongside improving their living and livelihood condition.

With former acting mayor of RCC Rejaun Nabi Dudu in the chair, Freedom Fighters Badiuzzaman Tunu, Nur Hamim Rizvi, Liakat Ali and Nurul Islam Chowdhury and RCC Chief Executive Officer Ajahar Ali also spoke.

Mayor Bulbul said all of us should have to take the responsibility of protecting the great sons of the soil freedom fighters as they are the witness of the Bangladesh’s history. All of us should stand beside them. “When they will die then our living history will disappear,” he says.

Importance should be given on highlighting the significance and spirit of the war of liberation before the new generation so that they can get scope of knowing about it properly.

He added that as long as the freedom fighters will survive the spirit of the war of liberation will remain alive. -BSS, Rajshahi
