REHAB housing fair begins in New York

In an effort to give a boost to the country’s sluggish housing business, a three-day housing fair, with the approved realtors, began in New York on Sunday to attract Bangladeshi expatriates, living in the USA.   The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) is hosting the fair at Soundview Broadcasting Avenue, Actoria, New York, according to a media release received here today (Monday).   This is the 11th version of the housing fair, titled ‘REHAB Housing Fair-2013’, in the US city with the slogan: ‘Earning Abroad, Housing Back at Home’.   Bangladesh Ambassador in the USA Akramul Qader inaugurated the fair as the chief guest. Consul General Monirul Islam was present.   REHAB general secretary M Wahiduzzaman, vice presidents Maj Gen (retd) M Abdur Rashid, joint-treasurer Engr M Ansat Ali, executive committee member M Mostafa Shahid and fair convener M Anwaruzzaman were, among other, present.   The REHAB members joined the fair with their approved projects and they are disseminating information about the Real Estate sector and their products.   Some 50 companies are participating in the fair to attract prospective Bangladesh-origin US citizens to buy apartments and plots back at home.-UNB
