Remaining part of Laos football team arrive Dhaka early Sunday

Dhaka – The remaining part of Laos football team arrived in the capital Sunday early hour (3:am) to play their away match against Bangladesh for the joint pre-qualifications for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 on Tuesday (June 11) at 7pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
The first batch of the 31-member Laos football team, comprising six players and eleven officials, arrived in Dhaka Saturday.
Bangladesh enjoying upper hand advantage beating hosts Laos by 1-0 goal in their away match at the National Stadium in Vientiane last Thursday, needs just a draw in their home match against Laos to earn the right to play in the qualify round of the meet.
If Bangladesh can overcome the pre-qualifiers hurdle, they will be able to compete directly in the qualifying rounds of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 and as well as to play in theFIFA International friendly matches in the next three years.
After a goalless first half in the away match last Thursday, Robiul Hasan scored the match-winner for Bangladesh in the 71st minute by a low shot outside from the box with the frustration of home crowd (1-0).
With this victory, the morale of Bangladeshi footballers boost-up with huge confidence ahead of the Tuesday’s home match against visiting Laos.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh National Football Team, which started their training session at Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Saturday, made their practice session for the 2nd successive day at the same venue Sunday afternoon.
Touring Laos team made their first session at the Kamalapur Stadium here Sunday afternoon ahead of their upcoming away match for the joint pre-qualifications for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 against Laos.UNB
