Dhaka, April 17 – The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday deferred the date for submission of the investigation report in the case filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia for making derogatory comments about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Bangladesh Awami League.Magistrate Abu Sayed of the CMM Court fixed May 20 as the new date for submission of the investigation report.
Earlier, on March 19, the court fixed April 17 for submission of the report, but, the police of Shahbagh Police Station of the city filed to submit the report yesterday.
On January 25, last year, pro-Awami League organization- Jananetri Parishad president AB Siddiq filed the case and on the same day, the court directed Shahbagh Police Station to submit a report into the matter after investigation. – Special Correspondent
