Dhaka – In a reshuffle in the police administration, eight officials, including a deputy inspector general (DIG) and two additional DIGs, have been transferred and given new postings. The Home Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.According to the notification, Railway range DIG M Sohrab Hossain has been made vice-principal of Police Academy at Sarda of Rajshahi while additional DIG of police headquarters M Quamrul Hasan replaced him.
Railway range additional DIG Rowshan Ara has been transferred to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the capital.
Chowdhury Manjurul Kabir, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), replaced Mollah Jahangir Hossain as Satkhira Superintendent of Police (SP) while the latter was transferred to DMP.
SP of Dinajpur Sarwar Morshed has been sent to Sarda Police Academy while DMP deputy commissioner M Ruhul Amin replaced Sarwar.
SP Monir Hossain who returned from the UN Peacekeeping Mission has been made Narail SP. – UNB
