Bangladesh is one of the countries in the world where Hindus, Muslims and people of different opinion groups belonging different political parties used to live very peacefully. But now, the situation has changed dramatically and fear grips all of us.
I think one of the main reasons is the effort made to project the leader of the opposition a hated person. It was started by the leaders of Awami League. Suranjit Sengupta, one of the veteran leaders of the AL said Ziaur Rahman was a spy of Pakistan.My husband has been working in Dhaka for many years. He used to come to Rajshahi at the weekend. But last a couple of weeks he has not visited to us. We are always in tension about his safely during movement from his residence to office. He could not visit his relatives though it is urgent and he could not even visit his doctor for his treatment.
We people will live in the world not for all times to come. We have to die and we all are
seeking peace for the eternal life. For this we need peace also in our earthly social life. So, please restore peace and harmony in the society as early as possible.
