A suspected robber was killed by a mass beating at Purarbagh village under Srinagar upazila of the district last night.The deceased was identified as Farid Mollah, 38, son of Rostom Ali of Ranipur village under Dohar upazila of the district.Officer-in-charge of Shrinagar thana Mujibur Rahman said a gang of robbers numbering 20-25 stormed into the house of Azim of the village and looted gold ornaments and other valuables at the gun point at about 2 am.Hearing the screams of the house inmates, locals rushed to the spot and caught one of the robbers red-handed and gave him good beating,leaving him dead on the spot.BSS, Munshiganj
