Gazipur – A suspected robber was beaten to death and two others injured in a mob attack while they were fleeing after a robbery attempt in Pubail College Gate area of the city on Tuesday night.Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.Mobarak Hossain, in-charge of Pubail Police Camp, said a gang of robbers, numbering 15-20, stormed into an aluminum factory, named
‘Green Design Solution’, in the area and tried to loot valuables taking some factory workers hostage around 9:30 pm.Hearing the screams of the workers, locals rushed to the spot and caught three of the gang while the others managed to flee the scene.
Later, the mob gave them a severe thrashing, leaving one of them dead on the spot and two others injured.The injured were rushed to Gazipur Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital under police custody. (UNB)
