Robbers looted valuables from a house, leaving four people injured at
Fatullah in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.
Victim’s family said the gang numbering 25/30 entered the house of
sand trader Habibullah Mia breaking the collapsible gate at about 2.00
am.
They took the imates of the house hostage at gun point and looted 20
tolas of gold ornaments, cash Tk 15 lakh and other valuables.
At one stage, the robbers beat up and stabbed Habibullah’s sons Sumon,
30, Selim, 35, Rony, 22 and his wife Ayesha, 50, as they tried to
resist them.
Later, the robbers decamped with the booties safely after exploding
bombs and firing shots.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered two crude
bombs from the spot.
