Rohit Shetty is currently gearing up for his year-end release Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. The film created a mega buzz after its trailer was released recently and the film’s songs Aankh maare and Tere bin are also receiving a lot of love from the audience. The director is going all out to promote the film. Recently he was questioned about his upcoming projects by a leading daily during the promotions of Simmba. Rohit did not shy away from accepting that he is in talks with Akshay Kumar for his next. He said, “I won’t deny that I am in talks with Akshay for a film, but we are yet to complete the formalities. I will be directing the film, but there is still some time for it. We have just had two meetings so far.”
Rohit also revealed that a sequel to Simmba might be on the cards if it is received well by the audience. “Simmba is my best-written film to date and if the audience feels the same way, I will start working on the next installment sooner than expected. I am not saying my next will be Singham and Simmba coming together, but yes, the idea is to create a cop universe. It would be difficult as something of this sort has never been attempted in India before. There is no story in mind, but the germ of an idea is in place.” Well, we are already getting excited about his upcoming ventures, what about you, reports film fare.
