The schedule of admission tests for first year honours courses at Rajshahi University (RU) under session 2013-14 have been rescheduled for the fourth time on Sunday. As per the revised timetable, the tests which were supposed to be held on January 10-14 will now be held from January 23 to January 27. The decision came at a meeting of the university’s admission tests sub-committee on Sunday. University sources said the authorities brought changes to the exam schedule due to hartals and blockades enforced by the opposition. He said details of the written examination will be disclosed through the university’s website and newspapers. Meanwhile, authorities of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University in Tangail have decided to hold its admission tests for BSc (engineering), BBA and BSc (honours) on January 22-23. The decision was taken at a meeting of the university’s admission committee held on Sunday with Vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Alauddin in the chair. Earlier, the dates of exams which were scheduled for December 3-4 were rescheduled for political instability across the country. – UNB
