Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Rajshahi University (RU) unit formed a human chain on the campus on Wednesday demanding the withdrawal suspension order against 3 leaders of the unit.
They formed the human chain in front of university central library at 12.00pm.Moderated by University BCL general secretarey Khalid Hasan Biplob, the programme was addressed by acting president Rashedul Islam Ranju, organising secretary Habibur Rahman Habib, Fausal Ahmed Runu among others.
The speakers alleged that their 3 leaders were sued by the university authority in the court but they have taken the decision of suspension before coming of order from the court.
They blamed the decision of the authority and threatened to go for tougher movement if the suspension order is not withdrawn.
Three BCL leaders Tauhid Al Hasan Tuhin, Tanmoy Ananda Avi and Mamunur Rashid Mamun were suspended from the university through a syndicate decision taken on May 28 last year on the charge of beating up the university Chief engineer. – RU Correspondent
