Rajshahi, Dec 08 – The Rajshahi University Teachers, students, officiants’ Oikko Manch demanded proper punishment from a human chain organised on Tuesday at around 11.00 am in front of the university senate building against those who are involved in vandalising Bangabandhu’s sculpture in Kushtia.
Speakers at the human chain said those who vandalized the sculpture of Bangabandhu were anti-independence elements. They use religion to make the country unstable and to realise their self-interest. They are traitors. We demand proper punishment against those who are involved in the vandalizing incident, the speakers said.
History department professor Dr. Chitta Ranjan Misra, Social Work department professor Dr. Rabiul Islam, RU chhatra league former president Ibrahim Hossain Moon, Rokeya hall provost Dr. Mobarra Siddiqua, among others were present on the human chain. – RU Correspondent.
