RU job quota protesters make a 3-point demand

Rajshahi, Sept 19 – The leaders and activists of quota reformist platform of students organised a demonstration at Rajshahi University making three demands including immediate publication of gazette bringing reform to the quota system in the civil service. The students of Rajshahi University under the banner of “Bangladesh Shadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad” brought out a protest procession from in front of the University Central Library around 12 pm on Tuesday and marching different roads of the campus ended at the same place and formed human chain program.
They also demanded the withdrawal of all “false and fabricated cases” against their leaders and activists and for bringing all the attackers to book and ensuring their punishment through trial.
Masud Munnaf, convener of RU said, quota reform is the demand of the young generation and it is time-befitting too.
About termination of quota in civil service, he demanded quick publication of gazette notification. He also requested the prime minister to bring to book the culprits who attacked quota reformists in the country.
We are living outside of the dormitory though we are legal resident students on the halls fearing attack to Chatra League men.
