Rajshahi, March 11 – The Rajshahi University authority has postponed all types of programmes to stay safe from novel coronavirus (covid-19). The decision was taken in a meeting of Mujib Borsho Celebration Committee of the university held on Wednesday morning. According to the meeting, The prime program of Mujib borsho would be held at the parade ground has been postponed. After that, all programmes at the RU campus have been postponed.
The program of Mujib borsho will be held on March 17 on a limited scale including paying honour to the portrait of Bangabandhu.
University proctor Professor Lutfor Rahman said, The decision to postpone all types of programmes on the campus to celebrate Mujib borsho has been taken in a meeting of Mujib Borsho Celebration Committee.
An emergency meeting was held between vice-chancellor and student’s dormitory provosts on last Tuesday. A decision has been taken at the meeting to take steps for ensuring safety for the students, who live in the public rooms in the dormitories. – RU Correspondent
