Rajshahi, Feb 13 – A New executive body of Rajshahi University Press Club (RUPC) has been formed with Salman Shakil of JagoNews24 as president and Sohanur Rahman Sumon of The Financial Express as general secretary for the year 2021-22. The election of RUPC was held on Saturday at its office. Former president of Rajshahi University Teachers’ Association professor Dr. Amzad Hossain declared the committee.
The other office bearers are – vice-presidents Belal Hossain Biplob (Daily Industry) and Abu Bakar Antu (Daily Amader Orthoniti), joint-secretary Abu Sayed Sojol (Daily Alokito Vor), treasurer Kamrul Hasan Ovi (Daily Manobkantho), office secretary Abdullah Al Mamun (Dhaka Times), publication and publicity affairs secretary Toushik Tuhin (Daily Inqilab), literature and cultural affairs secretary M R Mamun (Times of Bangladesh) and sports affairs secretary Mishkat Mishu (The Daily Campus).
Executive members are – Shoaib Shuvo (Dainik Notun Provat), Ashik Adnan (Rajshahi Sangbad) and Jobayer Jamil of Dainik Protidiner Sangbad.
RUPC adviser professor Dr. Fazlul Haque, professor Dr. Hasnat Ali, professor Dr. Rezaul Karim, among others, were present at the time of declaring the new committee. – RU Correspondent
