Rajshahi – Professor Rezaul Karim Siddiaue of Rajshahi University was killed by miscreants in the city’s Shalbagan area on Saturday morning.
Witnesses said a group of miscreants swooped on Rezaul Karim, a professor of English Department of the university, around 7:30 am, near his residence and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed in and recovered the body that body bore several injury marks, said officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station Shahadat Hossain.
Prof Karim met the tragic end of his life while going to the university, the OC said.
Earlier on November 15, 2014, Prof Shafiul Islam, a teacher of Sociology Department of the university was killed by unknown assailants at Chouddapai near the campus.
