Rajshahi-Demanding the cancellation of Rampal power plant the Progressive Students Alliance (PSA) of the Rajshahi University (RU) staged demonstration and brought out procession on the campus on Saturday.The protesting procession starting from the political tent of the alliance at 11.00am terminated at the “Tukitaki Chattar” of the University with a gathering after parading main streets of the campus.
Moderated by Dilip Ray, general secretary of the Biplobi Chhatra Moitri of RU unit, Pradip Mardi president of Chhatra Moitri, Kingsuk Kingjol, president of Bangladesh Student Federation of RU unit, Shamsuzzuha Sadik president of Chhatra Front of RU unit and Minhajul Abedin president of Bangladesh Student Union RU unit spoke at the program.
Speakers criticize the decision of the government of founding Rampal power plant and termed it as heinous deeds to the nation.-RU Correspondent
